
Getting some extra steps in is good for your heart and good for the soul. It's easy to get lost in work and spend all day hunched over a keyboard, so we're going to aim to do all 1-on-1 meetings while walking for the month to promote employee wellness.
If walking outside isn't an option, doing standing meetings is an acceptable replacement. We just want to get people out of their seats! Walking improves blood and oxygen flow and can lead to a better overall mood.
Team Leads! Communicate to the team that for the following week you want to hold team meetings and 1-on-1s while either on walks or as close to outside as possible if walking isn't an option.
Identify any meetings already set and add a note that they should be conducted outside and/or on a walk. Any subsequent meetings should be arranged to facilitate this as well.
Enjoy the outdoors and take a break from being cooped up behind a computer screen.
